How to DIY Anything: The Ultimate Maker Mindset

Picture

AVAILABLE NOW: The Free Journal

Picture
I created this DIY journal in order to compliment my book, How to DIY Anything. It's free, it's pretty, and I hope you find it useful. It's formatted for printing on standard 8.5" x 11" paper, and contains one set of project pages. You can print more project pages as you need them.

You'll notice that I have a "BUY a Journal" button, that's because I've also put together a print version that comes spiral bound just for you. You can buy it as a gift for your favorite DIY-er, or treat yourself. It's got enough project pages for 10 projects. The link will take you to Lulu.com, a print-on-demand publisher that I use all the time. You can view the pages below.

I have been a maker all my life, but only recently have I completely lost the fear of trying new things. Since we moved to our homestead in 2013, I have made my own dryer balls, learned how to can my own meat, built my own closets, and more. I think I've found the key to being a successful DIY-er.

George Washington Carver said, “Start where you are. Use what you have. Do what you can.”

Regardless of where you are starting, every maker has a metaphorical toolbox. In that toolbox, they carry tools like, persistence, skills learned, and a positive attitude. In this book I have tried to capture the six most essential tools that you can carry in your mindset toolbox. It is my hope that by the end of reading this book, you will feel as if you can DIY anything.
